Free, Semester-Long Class on All Things Drugs (and some RCs!)
Hey all! A good friend and colleague of mine is placing on a category referred to as DrugsCo that a lot of you may be excited about. The category was developed as a student-taught course at Oberlin Faculty starting in fall 2018, created via a mix of tons of of hours of analysis, hundreds of hours of subject work in hurt discount, a school sponsorship, and a recognition of the dire want for fact-based, unbiased, non-judgmental details about medication and all the exceptional impacts that they’ve had on society. Since then, it has been taught to roughly 220 college students, together with dad and mom and directors. Whereas the primary few weeks of the category are unlikely to current new materials for most of the readers right here, the content material goes a lot, far more in depth as the category goes on. Whereas the category shouldn’t be affiliated with DanceSafe in any method, the host of the category is a longtime volunteer (and up to date workers member!) with DanceSafe. It’s hosted frequently over zoom and is accessible on a drop-in foundation, with no assignments and no dedication, simply purely for training. You’ll be able to join the e-mail blasts that embody the Zoom hyperlinks right here: Whereas the category is up to date frequently, and this semester features a good bit of recent content material, recordings of previous (and new, after they’re recorded!) lectures may be discovered right here:
